NOP~ Mall Welcomes More Shops!

A little over a week ago, I blogged an update about the NOP~ Hong Kong Mall & also gave a welcome to the newest tenants Lamp*Light & Unforgettable Creations. Well, we are very happy to be able to welcome three more! Please say hello to JayGee, Panda Punx, & Wow Skins!

Taki Kujisawa, the owner of NOP~ has his own shop in the mall & still has the awesome boots he made for the Fashioncentric hunt available to find. Also, even though our own Visual Hunt is over Taki still has his prize out, so if you want the Dragon scarf that matches the Fashioncentric boots, go ahead & look for the blue Dragon kanji symbol in the shop as well. (The hint is "I love these wings!") By the way the Fashioncentric prize is free, but the Visual Hunt prize is 10L. They make a really cute set! 

What's new at NOP~!

There have been a lot of changes at the Nihon Ongaku Publishing Hong Kong Shopping Center & Mall recently. As you may or may not know, our Mall is located on an English speaking, Asian inspired sim. Our goal is to spread the love of  Asian music, popular culture and fashion in its many forms throughout Second Life. NOP~ also organizes hunts, fashion & charity events & fairs.

We are so happy that NOP~ & HTxDZ owner Taki Kujisawa's participation in the Fashioncentric Hunt has brought so much traffic to the sim! I have had a chance to do some of the hunt, (not as much as I would like to yet, because of my hectic RL schedule,) but I have to say the prizes are really awesome & I am definitely planning to finish it!

Here are the boots Taki made for the hunt! You must see them in world to appreciate the texture. They look like slightly translucent dragon scales - so much depth.

 

Also, the Hong Kong Shopping Center & Mall at NOP would like to give a warm welcome to our two newest vendors, Lamp*Light & Unforgettable Creations. The Visual Hunt is Almost Over!

It's almost the end of March & that means the Visual Hunt is drawing to a close. If you haven't had a chance to get all the items you wanted, now is the time to do so! BTW ~ I REALLY think you should get the dragon scarf from my friend & NOP owner Taki's shop HTxDZ, not just because we are friends & I think it's extra cute, with the super cool dragon scale texture, (& only 10L!) but because it totally matches the cool ankle boots he made for the upcoming *Fashioncentic Hunt that starts April 1st! He was nice enough to give me the special "Sneak Peek" pair that you see in my picture & I really like them a lot! Wait till you see them yourself! You will be bummed you didn't get the matching scarf if you don't go get it now! (You really have to see the texture in person, it's got so much depth & translucence. It's really pretty.)

PS ~ I also thought this jewelry set from EBDesigns was really cute & the creator made it TRANSFER so I bought like, SIX so I could give some as gifts. The detail is really nice & it's a very charming little set! (This is the vendor picture - I did NOT take this. I wanted to get a photo because I actually wore this quite a bit inworld, but I just never got a chance.) Anyway - Go grab this now, it's only 10L & you get both items! Visual Hunt Still On!

I have been meaning to make a Second Life post for quite some time but I have been having major internet issues, plus, I'm still sharing the "good" computer with my boyfriend until we can get some new parts for his comp. Needless to say it's been a lot easier & less frustrating to just type up some thoughts about Music or World Events on my laggy laptop than try to create a cool look in SL & keep getting booted. I really did want to make sure everyone picked up the items they wanted from the Visual Hunt before it ends, though! If I can manage to stay online long enough I will try to put together at least a few more looks over the next couple of days. (I am also calling AT&T tomorrow. I thought maybe it was the weather, because we have been having some storms but this is getting a little ridiculous!)

The Visual Hunt is ON!

Yes, that's right, Nihon Ongaku Publishing's "Visual Hunt" started on March First! Owner & Hunt organizer Taki Kujisawa worked very hard & I was happy to help out. (I am now even an "official" co-organizer for NOP! Thanks, Taki, I look forward to working with you on more hunts & events!) The creators made some very cool items & we even had some last minute additions from creators eager to add their items to the hunt! I will be taking pictures over the next few days to show you some of these items so you can see what is available, (this is just the start.) Cafe Hunt & Ancayi Closing ~ 50% off!

SO, I was starting the Cafe Hunt by Little Crown, you start here~ look how pretty!

 and I only got up to number 6 when I noticed that the shop Ancayi is closing at the end of this month so I thought I should stop everything & let you all know. Everything my friend is wearing here was free. The only thing that was purchased was the amazing skybox & that was only 88L at Collabor88 so you better go get it now. I realize you can't really see it in all it's glory but let me tell you, I have been loving it since I got it last week or so. It's mesh, so time to upgrade. Oh, & there's a demo in case you're not convinced. Anyway, Mr. Poet is this great men's shop that features really wonderful clothing that reminds you that, yes, there are some great places for men in Second Life. Not only that but with some great gifts & lucky boards it also reminds you that there are some really nice FREE things for men in SL, which can sometimes be rare. This Lucky Board skin came with the shape &  it's very "European Male Model", as in quite tall, thin, strong nose with quite a bump which took me a second to get used to because it's kind of severe, but yet still sexy. (Shape is no mod.) The detail in the skin is nice, especially the little imperfections & freckles in the face. I love that kind of stuff. The tips of the fingers are a bit oddly discolored but I can live with it. We decided to leave him bald because the scalp detail was so nice. (I made my boyfriend go wait at the lucky boards for this skin & shape as well because I was liking it so much, but we ended up putting a cute Boon blonde fauxhawk on him with a different shape & it looked so hot & very different, maybe I will take some pics of his avie later.) Anyway, I'm really loving this skin. The mesh sweater is also free & comes in three colors, black, grey & navy blue. The cut is great. It reminds me of the type of sweaters Duran Duran used to wear back in the day & yes, I just totally dated myself. The color change scarf is also free& is totally unisex. The Shirt was an older group gift from Scars. Pants are from Willow & bracelet from Concrete Flowers (both were from a past Season's Hunt we did  - I think last Summer.)

Still in a Vintage Mood

I am really feeling the Vintage Fair. Yes, I finally was able to go back & the lag was not bad at all. I wasn't able to splurge as much as I would have liked because I kind of blew my budget early this month & I live on a fixed income but there is one more item I may have to go back & get, (I'll keep you posted.) In the meantime I am happy with my Haut.Monde purchases AND I got another pair of shoes from them, (actually a three-pack from the mainstore ~ posting soon!) Plus I have been scouring my inventory for "vintage" finds & pairing them up with some cool new additions I recently picked up. I got a little artsy with the setup on these pics, (I wanted to use my cool furniture!) so the clothes aren't exactly featured the best they could be & they are not from the Vintage Fair but they are pretty vintage looking & pretty great. I really love everything I am wearing here, new items & old favorites.

I might never get over how cute this Special FTLO100L Ball Jointed Doll avatar from Esuga/Sugar Garden is. I just keep finding new ways to dress it up.
