Thoughts & Music ~

Blah, I am stressed out. My boyfriend has been super sick & I've had to take him to the hospital twice in the last week. It's also been over 100 degrees here every day  - REALLY hot & there's also a bunch of other things going on, like I am just really disappointed with my life & with people in general. I'm grateful for a lot of things & for the friends I do have, don't get me wrong, but life has a way of being overwhelming & super disappointing sometimes. Things are falling apart left & right all at once & I am just left going WTF? Of course all I do when I am stressed is eat & drink, so then I get even more depressed, after I start blowing up like a giant balloon. I wish I was the kind of person who got frail & thin when stressed or sad 'cos I would be a friggen stick figure right about now.

Here's a cover version of one of my favorite Fleetwood Mac songs. I never heard this version before today but it's pretty trippy/cool. It's the band Tame Impala doing the great song, "That's All for Everyone," Enjoy:

Ever wake up from a hundred years nap & it's simply sweltering outside? What's a lovely ancient Vampire Queen to do but throw an Ice Cream party for her closest pals, am I right? While your eyes adjust to the moonlight you can wear your handy blindfold from Cubic Cherry Kreations! Haha, well, as you can tell, the heat is getting to me, but I think I managed to make a cute little scene here, nonetheless, using some of the delightful offerings from my sponsors, some treats I unearthed in my inventory & a Gacha goodie from this round of the Arcade, as well.

This time it's The Cocteau Twins, a Scottish rock band, who were active from 1979 to 1997. I was even lucky enough to see them in concert in 1994, although it was bittersweet considering it was on the exact day we all found out that Kurt Cobain had shot himself. Liz Frazier, the lead singer, was thoughtful & sensitive enough to take time out during the concert to address the situation & share her grief, (People all over the world were truly stunned from the news,) & it was quite a meaningful gesture to everyone present. Thoughts & Music ~ 

It's June, so that means a new round of Fit for a Princess, as well as the Arcade & lots of other excitement to keep me busy in SL & "real" life. I got some cute things at Arcade, thanks to my Jinki & her amazing stealth skills. I'm eager to show them, but so far I am just showing my cute ring from Yummy. I will be haunting the yardsales for a couple more things I want, (like the Aisling tails in pastel colors, since I got darks & lights.)

I changed my shape again. I started again from the original TSG Kotoko shape & only very slightly modded the face & body. My shape had become too thin from too many previous mods & I was unhappy with it. She looks a lot more curvy again & I am happier.  

I hope you enjoy this whole look. I know it's a little crazy, but that's me for you. I thought the dress was so cute & I just kept piling on the jewelry & headbands, etc. & it got so 80's looking, so I just went with it. I think it came out really cute & fun.

No '80's post would be complete without a nod to one of the greatest '80's (& '90...AND actually still going!) bands, The B-52's. Here they are with "Hero Worship", from their very first album, which was actually released all the way back in 1979. Amazingly great music, enjoy!
