Teenage Mew-Tant Schoolgirl Kitties!

The Fantasy Faire 2012 is on now & let me tell you, it's really something. Not only is it massive, (spread over eight sims,) it's also BEAUTIFUL, (every sim has a different Fantasy look.) On top of all that, it's also a charity event to benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Make sure you check it out before it's over on April 29th! Besides just a lot of great designers & shops, there are many side events going on. Please check out the website & don't miss out -There are so many great stores participating!

Kiba Tachikawa, owner of Actuate Eden, is one of the many Faire participants & he made some Neko sets for it called Calico MewMew.  There are three different versions, with color change & texture options, etc. on all of them. I decided to model the Rocker version because I liked the spikes, crosses & plaid & I also thought it looked good with my mesh VERSHE sweater. Pretty In Tangerine

I made another outfit using the same shoes, socks & bag as last time. Well, what can I say, when I find things I like, I tend to use them a lot! I also tend to save up & buy little things here & there, or indulge in fatpacks, like I HAD to do when I saw how great the new Fashionably Dead skins were after seeing them recently modeled in a post on Steffy Ghosts' blog. She's the creator of Jack Spoon, has great style & I always get a lot of inspiration from her blog. She was also wearing some great, thick eyebrows I have been seeing everywhere & coveting, so I hopped over to Cheap Makeup as well. One of my biggest regrets is over-plucking my eyebrows in the 1990's, (when it was the fashion to do so,) because they never fully grew back, leaving me with thin brows, which can be a little "aging". I long for the thick brows of my youth, which brings me to this outfit, a nod to the era of my teens. This look has a real 80's vibe to me, the brightly colored, slightly oversized  belted sweater worn over a feminine, ruffly shirt, skinny, high-waisted pants, slouchy socks with tasseled shoes, jaunty hat with messy hair, the great bag & the glasses, for sure. It's kind of a sleeker, more sophisticated version of Molly Ringwald's Andie character from Pretty in Pink: Pretty in Tangerine?

Paper Couture Bird Ring (Marketplace) I didn't get any close-ups of the ring this time around, but take a look at the pic on marketplace, it's really cute. All of her jewelry is outstanding. At any rate, I will be wearing it a LOT, so I'm sure I will get better pics of it soon. I also bought a few necklaces so I am excited to wear those as well!

I (Don't) Hate this Love Song

I have been listening to/watching this Big Bang video nonstop since yesterday. Where has this song been all my life? I only heard a couple Big Bang songs before I fell in love with the GD & T.O.P. solo collaboration cd. I played it so much my boyfriend begged me to put something else in the car stereo, so I tortured him with more SHINee cd's. But honestly, I can't believe I have missed out on so much good music by being blinded by SHINee's beauty, (lol - no offense to my shining boys & I am a Shawol forever,) but DANG - this Big Bang song & video is SO GOOD & I want to hear MORE. The music & vocals have so many hooks & catchy bits - you don't need to understand Korean to get the vibe thanks to the wonderful  performances. I LOVE the guitar melodies - very evocative of the Edge (from U2,) and the drums - I could go on, but just listen for yourself. I am going to listen to it again. (Oh & BTW ~ GD proves that cool guys DO look back at explosions at the end, cos he's the only one who looks & he's Pretty Darn Cool, lol.) PS - Happy Belated Birthday to T.O.P.~ a beautiful, talented guy with that sexy deep voice I always go for, (Plus he has the most amazing eyebrows.) Good Luck to Big Bang who are up for an award in the MTV EMA's. * I LOVE THIS GROUP!*
