I changed my new kitties name to Lily & she responds to it! She is so wonderful & is making my little Nico's life so much fun. He finally gets to play with another cat & not get hissed at or attacked.
Actual proof that Lily & Nico get along! I'm SO relieved.
I have been watching the KDrama Coffee Prince & it's been making me cry like a little baby. I'm such a hopeless romantic. I eat that crap UP. Gobble gobble. It's also very funny, sweet, so well written & well-acted, (in my opinion,) & full of eye candy of both sexes. I'm just enjoying it so much. It's on Hulu plus but you can probably also find it on DramaFever or other sites, I'm sure. I recommend it!
So, I went to Collabor88 & just threw my Linden wallet at it. So much amazing stuff. I am going to try my hardest to blog all of the cute stuff I got & not be lazy. Honestly, the easiest part of blogging is putting together the fun outfits, taking the pictures & editing them, (since I do limited photoshopping.) The hard part for me is listing the credits & also posting up on Flickr & tagging/adding into all the groups, since I am easily distracted. It takes me a while or else I could crank out like three posts a day! (That's probably an exaggeration...) Anyway, I do my best.

I feel adorable as heck in this look. I have been really motivated to make outfits lately. I have so many ideas & my sponsors have been cranking out so many great items as well. It's win-win. I bought a lot of stuff at the Kings & Queens Fair, & I still need to check out The Arcade, so I will be incorporating those goodies into my posts over the next few weeks.
Thanks to everyone for helping my blog surpass 40,000 hits! I started this year with less than 20,000, so that is a really big surge in a short time. I have to thank all my visitors as well as my wonderful sponsors, events & friends who've helped me in this blogging endeavor. It's been trying at times, but it's a great creative outlet & overall, it's just SUPER fun ~ THANK YOU!
(BTW, after I took these pictures I realized I could have pushed the bow back farther on my head to meet the rise on my hair pouf - it did look better later after I did that, but I saw this too late after I took them. Sometimes I get too excited & just take Pics, then go back later & I am like DAMN, why didn't I notice that? (dummy dummy dummy! SO OBVIOUS! I spent SO much time editing the lashes just right I must have tired & gotten sloppy. Oh well. Later I did some good PS work on the butt of the pic of the one that has the weird offset bow, & the inner thigh on the right hand one, so it should even out, right? TY for forgiving me.)
I got the new mesh head from the Sugar Garden & it's SOOOO nice. I did like my Slink head a lot but this one has a lot more makeup & expression features, plus, I have to say, I think it's a lot cuter, in my opinion. I will still use both, for different purposes, for sure. Bottom Line - It's very, very cute & worth the money. I also picked up like a TON of the Physique appliers Eilfie made for her Sugar Garden Skins. (Get ready for me to drag out some of my old TSG skins lol)
I am actually still looking for a decent "middle aged" looking skin . Everything seems to be a child, a teen, a super young adult, or then just - BOOM a super wrinkly OLD person. I found some kind of decent moderate wrinkle layers at the cosmetics fair, not this past one, but the one before, but I am such a layer whore I used all my layers up before I got the look I was going for. I just want to look like a mid 40's woman sometimes. I don't want tons of jowls, exaggerated lines & wrinkles or anything like that, just some regular slightly aged, careworn looks, not a caricature of a person. If anyone knows where I can find some skins like that let me know. Some "mid-life" skins. I have had so much airbrushed perfection, I want to stretch my wings...you know me I always like to try new stuff LOL.

What Are We Craving

I've been feeling really weird lately, which isn't all that unusual for me, actually. My Mom came over earlier on Saturday & we watched a movie, as is our routine, & then I completely went off my diet & ate cheese AND tortillas, thanks to Mom's enchiladas. I keep saying I haven't actually missed cheese at all, since I have been avoiding dairy, (only missing bread for some reason,) & now that I ate it, I feel I could have done without it. My Mom makes killer enchiladas, but I could have left out the tortilla & the cheese & just had the filling with some greens & it would have been just as awesome.
Anyway, so then I laid on the couch, digesting, (or trying to,) drinking some strange blender concoction I made from the still edible parts I cut off of pears that were going rotten, (I hate wasting food,) some ice & gin, & watching horror movies on Netlix, until that could no longer offer me suitable solace & I decided to finally get up. I thought I'd try to finish this blog because I was actually super excited to share this outfit which I put together & photographed last night, but was too tired to edit in Photoshop & post.
So, moments after I sat down I started feeling kind of dizzy, which again is not unusual for me. I waited for it to pass & when it didn't I thought for a second that maybe the fans were really strong & moving my chair, (It's very hot where I live so we have overhead fans in every room, as well as smaller fans placed around.) I immediately logically knew that couldn't be it & I was STILL being strongly swayed back & forth so my mind told me YEP, Earthquake. (All of this was taking place in a matter of say, 5-15 seconds maybe,) so when "earthquake" FINALLY registered I calmly decided to ride it out for some reason, which is TOTALLY out of character for me, having lived through the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, in San Francisco, which was pretty terrible for so many, (deaths, injuries, major destruction,) & very traumatizing for me to say the least. So it was weird that I was just sitting here, being rocked in my chair, considering the last time I felt an earthquake wake me, I was actually back in SF again, about 2001, I jumped up out of bed like a cat with it's tail on fire, screaming bloody murder, heart racing, blood rushing so hard it was all I could hear in my ears. Yet here I was now, almost being lulled like a baby in my chair, until my boyfriend came in & insisted, "Hey we have to get out of the house, there's an Earthquake!" I got up calmly, unplugged my computer & grabbed my cat, who seemed totally unphased & went out of the house in my bare feet, protesting all the while, "No, we are supposed to stand under the door frame!" (Always have to be the know-it-all!)
We have a pool in our backyard, so we watched the water slosh around for what seemed like forever, but what was probably only about two minutes max, if that, while we held both of our squirrelly cats. The power didn't go out, which is always a good sign, so I didn't get too excited, but I couldn't help think about what must be happening at the epicenter of all this. We now live about two & a half hours North of San Francisco and pretty far inland, & our house is on a concrete slab, so maybe that's why it did't shake too bad.
After the water calmed, the grateful cats were set down & of course I immediately went online & saw ALL of the earthquakes that have been happening lately. They happen all the time & we don't realize it - little ones sure, but this was a pretty big one - 6.0, so I hope everyone is ok. So far no deaths, thank goodness, but some damage in some Bay Area places. I grew up in the Monterey & San Francisco Bay Areas so they are very dear to me. Anyway, I've totally rambled but there you go. That's me for you.

I like the dichotomy between the cute & the tough here. I found a lot of old scars & bruises in my inventory that I wore years ago & paired them with the newer Clemmm damaged Hands for Slink. I pretty much based the whole outfit around wanting to do something with the cute Kawaii Panda Helmet from Envious. I also had the Kawaii Kyoot Chainsaw & Gladiator set from Epic & when I popped on the adorable icing 'stache from Sweet Thing, more ideas just started rolling in. I think the final look is really cute & I hope you like it as well.
I've been trying to fight off some sad thoughts lately so this post is especially relevant. It's easy to get down & despair, but I have to try hard to remember not to give up - to keep going no matter what. I have to remember that I can find joy & solace in my friends & family, in art, literature, music, movies, nature & animals. I have to keep fighting.
